The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, Nissan Rogue, and Kia Seltos are all popular compact SUVs that offer excellent value for their respective price points. At Keene Mitsubishi, we're here to take a look at what each of these SUVs has to offer and why the Eclipse Cross is the right crossover for those who want a sporty drive that can handle the roads around Nashua and Manchester.

Performance is Similar Across All Models

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive making it a great choice for getting around Amherst in winter.

The Nissan Rogue is equipped with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo that produces 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a CVT and front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also available.

Finally, the Kia Seltos comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 146 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, or a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a CVT, but a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is available with the turbo engine. All-wheel drive is available as an option.

Interior Space

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross offers comfortable seating for up to five passengers, and it provides 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, the cargo space expands to 48.9 cubic feet.

The Nissan Rogue also seats up to five passengers and provides 36.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, the cargo space expands to 74.1 cubic feet.

The Kia Seltos offers ample seating space for up to five passengers, and it provides 26.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. With the rear seats folded down, the cargo space expands to 62.8 cubic feet.

Comfort Features

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with standard features such as push-button start and a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat. Available features include a dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and heated front seats for a more luxurious experience.

This Nissan Rogue starts in a similar place, though the front seats are narrower and thus less comfortable than in the Mitsubishi. In addition, the Rogue costs $2,000 more than the Mitsubishi for the same kit, making the Eclipse Cross a better value.

The Kia Seltos is a pretty basic SUV to start, but is just about as comfortable as the Eclipse Cross at a similar price point. Overall, these two models are nearly tied on comfort and value, though the Mitsubishi comes standard with all-wheel drive.

Technology and Safety

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes standard with a 7-inch infotainment display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a rearview camera. Available features include an 8-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a 360-degree camera system. The Eclipse Cross comes with standard safety features such as forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning.

The Nissan Rogue offers similar safety tech as standard, including automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. Interior tech is similar as well, with a central infotainment display containing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto coming standard on all models.

Meanwhile, the Kia Seltos is also in a similar position for its in-car tech. Base models get forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, while more advanced models include adaptive cruise control and pedestrian detection.
